There is still so much to be done here. Planting to finish, a pot cracked from winter, an entrance we haven’t really begun to give much attention to. And because we rarely use this door, it wasn’t particularly high on the list.
Then I found these old lions and came across a few flowers, and knew they belonged here.
Nothing is finished. And somehow, it already feels different.
I notice it every morning when I open the inner door to let the light in. The lions make me smile. The flowers brought a little life back to a place that had mostly been forgotten.
Maybe elevating our homes doesn’t always require finishing them. Sometimes one thoughtful addition is enough to change the way a space feels.
Returning doesn’t happen all at once. Sometimes it begins with one small thing that makes us happy to see our home again.
